Today marks the first day of Dairy Month.  In 1937, as a way to promote drinking milk, June Dairy Month was created.  This evolved into a month long promotion to create and support the entire dairy industry.

COVID-19 has changed the way we will celebrate June Dairy Month 2020.  This month, we have the opportunity to celebrate America’s Dairyland and encourage individuals to support our farmers.  Our farmers continue to work day and night in the midst of this pandemic.  Our local farmers are essential to this community and our economy.  While we cannot physically gather for the traditional breakfast-on-the farm, there are other ways to support our dairy industry!  Shop local and grab an extra bag of cheese curds, string cheese, milk or ice cream.  Help support our local farmers wherever and whenever you can!
